April 2025
Challenge
As communities prepared to commemorate the anniversary of the first battles of the American Revolution, there was an opportunity for Geminai to bring local history to life in a way that felt timely, visual, and engaging for modern audiences.
The challenge was to create content that honored the history of April 19th while using emerging technology to make the moment feel immediate, dramatic, and shareable.
Capture
Geminai welcomed the captain of the 6th Middlesex Regiment into our studio in full period attire to create a hologram announcing that shots had been fired in Lexington and that the regiment was needed to march to Concord for battle. “We answer the call, not for King, but for our rights as free men!”
The content was designed as a creative historical interpretation, blending reenactment, storytelling, and holographic presence to recreate the urgency of that pivotal Revolutionary moment.
Experience
This form of storytelling was used as part of a social media campaign in April 2025. In the campaign, the full 6th Middlesex Regiment received their orders from their holographic captain before marching away – a clever use of this medium.
As part of the campaign, Geminai also captured video of the regiment marching in formation out of the studio, and again on April 19th on the Chelmsford Town Common, as members gathered before daylight and began their traditional march to Concord.
Impact
This project demonstrated how holographic storytelling can support historic interpretation, community heritage, and anniversary programming in a format that is both educational and highly engaging.
For museums, historical societies, reenactment groups, visitor centers, and America250 initiatives, the 6th Middlesex Regiment project showed how immersive content can extend the reach of live interpretation, create memorable digital moments, and help audiences experience history with a stronger sense of presence and place.
